Hi! Thanks for checking out my portfolio. I’m Chelsea Rio, a designer and illustrator living in the beautiful suburbs of Frederick, MD.
I currently work as the Lead UI/UX Designer at a B2B SaaS company specializing in document automation. In the past, I spent over a decade at an email marketing company, climbing from intern to creative director, until its acquisition in 2017. I’ve also worked briefly at a communications firm and once taught at the University of Maryland, College Park.
During my undergraduate study, I earned a BS in Zoology and a BA in Studio Art at the University of Maryland, College Park. I then received my MFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. If you dig information design, check out my thesis.
Apart from my professional life, I love drawing and frequently accept commissions for pet caricatures.
