Tilly and Phoebe

For this commission, the client requested a portrait of their colleague’s two Boston Terriers, Tilly and Phoebe. Despite being the same breed, the two dogs could be easily distinguished given their sizes and markings. I tried to capture each dog’s defining characteristics, while keeping them stylistically similar for the portrait. Graphite on toned gray paper.
